As the home of the world’s most famous cycle race, France has long been a popular destination for cycle tourists from the UK hoping to follow in the footsteps of their heroes but perhaps without the yellow jersey!
The region has a huge amount to offer from spectacular scenery, delicious food and a growing network long-distance cycle routes. So it’s not surprising to hear that France has become the second biggest market for cycle tourism in Europe. France has over 880,000 km’s of secondary roads and lanes that make a perfect cycling holiday’s. Plus, it have the world’s longest single cycle route, 1200km of mostly coastal road from Roscoff in north-western France down to Hendaye in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
HomeCamper provides the perfect network of campsites to watch the various stages of the 2018 Tour De France from Saturday 7th July to Sunday 29th July. The event is watched by around 12million fans along the route. It cover over 3,300km’s of some of the toughest cycling conditions. It’s an awesome spectacle to see and we hope to welcome fans from the UK and across the world staying with our host campsites to experience it for themselves.
